Main ingredients:
2 medium-sized beetroots peeled and cut into sticks; 1 medium-sized onion finely chopped; 1 greem chili cut into half (lengthwise).


  • 1 dry chili; 
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar to taste.

  1. Temper the oil in a pan with 1 dry chili.
  2. When an aroma comes out, add the chopped onions and fry until it becomes translucent.
  3. Add the chopped beetroots along with a green chili and fry on medium heat.
  4. Add salt, turmeric powder and sugar. Stir well.
  5. Put a lid on it and cook in low flame until the beetroots are done.
  6. open the lid, adjust salt and sugar.
  7. Turn off the heat and serve hot with plain rice.
