Main Ingredients:
150 gm drumstick peeled and cut into 2 inch each piece; 1 tsp mustard paste/mustard powder; 1-2 green chillies; 1 tsp mustard oil.

  • 1 dry red chilli
  • ½ tsp bengali paanchforon [whole cumin, fenugreek seed, fennel seed, kalonji and radhuni]
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt according to your taste.


  1. Make a thick paste of mustard seed along with two green chillies [For mustard powder: soak the powder in lukewarm water along with a pinch of salt for 10 minutes].
  2. Temper the oil with dry chilli and paanchforon.
  3. When the aroma comes out, fry the drumsticks until they change colour.
  4. Add salt and turmeric powder. Fry for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add the mustard paste and mix it well.
  6. Put a lid on it so that the drumsticks get cooked (approx: 7-8 mins).
  7. Add 1 tsp mustard oil and turn off the heat.
  8. The curry is ready to be served.
