Main ingredients:
1 big sized radish; 1 potato cut into small cube sized pieces; 2 green chillies.

Spices:
  • ½ tsp kalionji
  • 1 dry red chilli
  • ½ tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt and sugar according to your taste.

Steps:

  1. Grate the radish first. Keep aside.
  2. Temper the oil with kalonji and dry chilli.
  3. When the aroma comes out, add the potato pieces and fry till golden brown.
  4. Add grated radish and fry it with potato.
  5. Add salt, sugar turmeric powder and green chillies.
  6. Fry for 8-10 minutes. By this time the potatoes should become tender. So you won’t need to add water for the potatoes to be done.
  7. When the potatoes are done, turn off the heat.
  8. Serve it with roti or as a side dish with daal.
